Getting Around the Resort

Most guests bring their own vehicle to Retallack. When driving around the resort, please be considerate of other guests.

One-Way System

Many of the roads on the resort are too narrow for two-way traffic. Please observe the ‘No Entry’ signs and follow the one-way system.

Speed Limit

The speed limit on the resort is 5 mph ! Whilst it may be impractical to drive at such a low speed, please be aware that there may be pedestrians on the road and drive with appropriate caution.

Parking

Most accommodation has allocated parking which should be clearly signed. Some allocated parking may be outside a neighbouring property, so please check you are parked in the correct space for your property.

If your party has more cars than there are parking spaces for your property, please do not park on the road or in a neighbour’s space, but use one of the additional car parks on the resort.

EV charging

There are a number of EV charging points in the car park above The Lookout. These are AC chargers rated at 22kW, but most vehicles will only charge from them at 11kW.

You will need to select the amount of charge you require (10kWh, 20kWh, etc) and pre-pay with your payment card at the terminal before charging commences.

Away Resorts request that you do not occupy a charging point for more than three hours, so please bear this in mind when calculating how much charge your vehicle can accept in this timeframe before authorising payment.

A few of the properties have dedicated EV chargers available to guests. If this is the case, your host will inform you how to make use of it.

Please DO NOT attempt to charge your vehicle from the domestic power supply of your property. Apart from being against the booking T&Cs, this may overload the power supply and amounts to stealing power from the property owner (who has to pay the utility bill!). Away Resorts reserve the right to terminate the booking of any guest who breaks this rule.
